Filming a Hi-5 series can be, ironically, quite a stressful time for all of us. There are a lot of lines and scenes for us to learn and perfect and unlike other productions, where there are many cast members, having just five in our cast means that we are often called on for filming each day. This in turn means there is not much down time for us over the two months or so of the filming process.

So after days upon days of line learning and rehearsing it is really important to keep fresh so you don’t get too bogged down in all the work load. In Hi-5′s Series 12, this is when our very lovely Series Producer came in to help us all out. I turned up to the set for the first day of shooting of Series 12 and what did I see?——A brand new bright’n shiny table tennis table with four brand-new bats and balls!

Yes, our awesome series producer had purchased a table tennis table with the sole purpose of helping us all to relax in our down- time around the studio. What a champion!

I have always loved Table Tennis and I very quickly found out that Stevie and I both felt the same way. This was very fortuitous as it meant we both had someone to play against. This is sort of essential!

Anyway, about halfway through filming the series Stevie and I were talking as we often did and we decided to enter a Table Tennis Competition— not just any old competition— we wanted to enter the biggest one we could find.

I rang the NSW State Table Tennis Association and quickly found out that the ‘Metropolitan Open Championships’ were the biggest tournament for this time of the year.

So what have Stevie and I done?

We have naively and some may say ‘boldly’ entered the biggest Table Tennis Competition Australia has to offer at this time of the year! And when is this comp…

THIS SUNDAY AHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!

Do you have any idea how good people can be at Table Tennis!?!

I do, and it is a LOT better than me!

Next part of the story is on its way.

I’m glad that part of your producer these incentives have with you. You know I love the ideas that took a lot of your stories. It would be interesting to use on my team.
On the other hand I see that you are always in action (I like that). It will be fun to know if they come into competition. I’ve never played ping pong is a game where you have to have very good reflexes. But I think it’s more fun to play to see (the ball trip traveling from one place to another so fast). A cordial greetings to stevie’s, you say you have amazing blue eyes seem pools. A polar bear hug.
I wrote something fast * whisper * I do exercises now.

Table tennis? That’s great. I like it, although I would not be so good playing. Then you entered into another competition? Wow!!! Well, I’ll be waiting for another part of history.

haha i admire that spirit of yours. after all if you are gonna compete you might as well get yourself into the biggest one you can find. it’s not whether you win or lose that matters; it’s whether you enjoyed the game. makes me want to take up a sport myself.

There’s only question you can ask yourself to know if you are a great ping pong player..And that question is: What is the biggest mistake in your life and what did you do to solve it??..Oh, I’m sorry that was the wrong question..The real question is: Do you have Spiderman-like reflexes..That covers the idea of hand-eye coordination..So if your answer to the real question is yes, you have a big chance of winning the tournament..But in the competition, there’s another question you need to answer..And that is: Are your reflexes better than others’?..

I hope this can quite help you..Good luck on the tournament!!..
